Volunteer for Us

We rely on the generosity of volunteers giving their time and energy to the Charity and volunteers make up the essential backbone of our Volunteer Visiting Service. We believe that life need not stop because of sight loss and we really do believe that we can make a difference to improve the quality of people’s lives. With more volunteers we can do even more to provide significant support to visually impaired people throughout Devon.

Volunteering can be a rewarding way to help in your local community at the same time as meeting new friends, developing skills and exploring hobbies. There are many different kinds of opportunities available depending on the time you are able to give: whether you have an hour or so each week or can give much more.

Currently we have the following opportunities, so please don’t hesitate to contact us if they are of interest to you:

•    Helping in our resource centre in Topsham
•    Being part of the volunteer visiting service in Torbay or Mid-Devon
•    Administration
•    Marketing

Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteering with the Charity is a great way to meet other people and learn new skills and make a difference too. We are presently looking for people who could help us with writing press releases, compiling & putting together our regular newsletter, promoting the Charity as well as developing a catalogue of information about products available from our resource centre and running activities here.
